Cold Weather Cookery Taught Mess Men

new two-week course in cold weather cooking is being given by the Quartermaster Corps in Bakers and Cooks Schools at Fort George G Meade, Maryland and the Presidio of San Francisco, the War
Department announces. Mess supervisors,
mess officers, mess sergeants and qualified or rated cooks will be trained in
proper methods of thawing out and restoring fruits, vegetables and canned goods
which at times are unavoidably frozen in transit or in storage
